2020 Devinci Django 29 GX Eagle Bike
There’s no doubt that you can spend a bundle and buy a dream bike with the Django Carbon 29. But if your budget is a touch tighter, you can still treat yourself with a fantastic Devinci Django 29. Made from aluminum, this Django has all the zest, sass and pizzazz of the carbon version, but without the high price tag.
Devinci has long taken pride in the quality of their aluminum bikes, and for good reason. Using a lightweight, but durable alloy, they have the ability to turn the Django 29 into a climbing machine without losing any of its descending gravitas. The natural stiffness of the aluminum will help when you are churning up a steep climb, and will ensure that you won’t be risking the ship if you end up on a steeper, rougher downhill than you intended. The adjustability of the geometry helps keep the Django feeling very balanced no matter what your focus. As with other Devinci bikes, you can adjust your setting between Hi and Lo. In Hi mode, you’ll get a 67-degree head angle. In Lo, it’s 66.5 degrees. So you can run a more upright or slacker setup according to your trail needs and ride preferences.
The flip flop pivot mechanism which allows you to lower the position will help make it quick and aggressive at low speeds uphill and fantastically stable when you are slashing it on a steeper section. Yet thanks to the seat angle, you’ll feel comfortable and agile on the climbs. Another big factor in how well the Django rides, and how versatile it will be on the trails comes from the mix of the 29 inch wheels blended with the 140mm suspension up front and the 120mm in the rear.
No one will mistake those for downhill numbers, but you will be amazed at how well it handles the rugged stuff. The rear suspension proves supple and sensitive so that the rear wheel tracks the ground, keeping you full in control. And with room for up to 2.6 inch tires, traction will never be in doubt. Keeping it real with standard Boost, the Django has that extra bit of clearance and strengthened wheel build, but also keeps it compatible with wheelsets you probably already have in your stable.
Available in a couple build options, the Devinci Django 29 is prepared to be the perfect trail bike for your mountain adventures.
