2020 Devinci Django Carbon 29
Though we all might not be quick to admit it, but some of us are old enough to have started riding mountain bikes when there was no such thing as suspension. And there was one category of mountain bike. You did everything with it. Nowadays, the mountain bike sector has been divided and subdivided till none of us can agree on what to call anything. But there is one thing that we know: the Devinci Django Carbon 29 is a pure mountain bike ready to tackle just about any trail and be super fun doing it.
Made from high quality carbon, the frame keeps its weight down without sacrificing durability. And that will seem really important once you realize that you don’t have to stick to XC trails with this baby, but rather can roam further and deeper into the steeper sections of the mountains. The stiffness of the frame will also help you translate your pedal power into speed, or at least make sure you aren’t losing energy on those stiff climbs up the mountain. The geometry has quite a big hand also in making the Django Carbon 29 quite a nifty little climber.
And like with other Devinci bikes, you can adjust your setting between Hi and Lo. In Hi mode, you’ll get a 67-degree head angle. In Lo, it’s 66.5 degrees. So you can run a more upright or slacker setup according to your trail needs and ride preferences. The flip flop pivot mechanism which allows you to lower the position will help make it quick and aggressive at low speeds uphill and fantastically stable when you are slashing it on a steeper section. Yet thanks to the seat angle, you’ll feel comfortable and agile on the climbs.
Another big factor in how well the Django rides, and how versatile it will be on the trails comes from the mix of the 29 inch wheels blended with the 140mm suspension up front and the 120mm in the rear. No one will mistake those for downhill numbers, but you will be amazed at how well it handles the rugged stuff. The rear suspension proves supple and sensitive so that the rear wheel tracks the ground, keeping you full in control. And with room for up to 2.6 inch tires, traction will never be in doubt. Keeping it real with standard Boost, the Django has that extra bit of clearance and strengthened wheel build, but also keeps it compatible with wheelsets you probably already have in your stable.
Devinci Django Carbon 29 is the type of mountain bike that doesn’t care what type of trail you are taking on. It will be right there, not only keeping up with what you want, but encouraging you to push yourself even more.
